Principal's Updates - 10/09/2020

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I hope that you have all been enjoying this wonderful Fall weather. I know that we have! God has blessed us with such beautiful days that have allowed us to enjoy frequent mask breaks, snacks, lunches, recess, and physical education classes outside on our beautiful grounds. The children have been exploring and discovering nature too. The 5th graders found a huge Praying Mantis, The Kindergarten class went on a scavenger hunt. Students told me about the birds and wildlife they have seen.

I am so impressed with the way everyone has adapted to everything. This is certainly a difficult time for everyone. We are making the best of the situation and keeping our strict protocols in place. I have a waiting list for every grade. Even though I want to provide a quality in person education for students I will not be able to take more children in than our facility and staff can safely accommodate. I know that this is disappointing for so many but I cannot risk the health and safety of our community.

There have been positive COVID cases in the Milton Public Schools and Fontbonne Academy. At the current moment we do not have any at St Mary of the Hills. I pray that this continues but I also want you to know that we have a plan in place if we need to go fully remote.

I ask that you continue to stay safe, follow the CDC and Department of Public Health guidelines, keep your child home if they are sick and join me in praying that those in government do their best to  keep us all safe.

God Bless you all and enjoy a wonderful long weekend with your incredible children.

Mrs. Julie Marotta
