Dear St. Mary of the Hills Families,
I know that this past week has been stressful due to the uncertainty surrounding the Coronavirus. Please know that we, as a community of educators, did our very best to keep the children engaged academically, created a stress free learning environment, and took precautious to make sure that everyone was safe.
My staff worked this week to create opportunities for the students to work on their studies at home. This may look different from Grade to Grade or class to class. Some students will be doing work virtually. Others may be working on packets provided by their teachers. Some may be reading with an adult at home. This is all done in an effort to maintain learning as we all deal with this situation.
As a nation, this is unprecedented and we are all trying our very best to navigate these uncharted waters. My teachers will continue to work from home and are an email away to support their students. The have also been offered Professional Development through the Archdiocese of Boston to increase their knowledge as educators.
I will be in the school each day staring next Tuesday 3/17 from 9-1. If you need anything please email me and I will be happy to do what I can for you and your children. Stay healthy and protect those precious children. I will be praying for all of you.
Prayer of St Francis
Lord make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
Where there is sadness, joy.
O divine master, grant that I may not seek to be consoled, as to console.
To be understood, as to understand.
To be loved, as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive.
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.
And in it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen
Mrs. Julie Marotta
