Principal's Updates - 2/28/2020

Dear St. Mary of the Hills Families,

Good evening. We had such a great week at school. The students got right back into the swing of things after our week off. As I observed during the week I saw so many presentations, projects, collaborations, letter writing, research, singing, drama practice, and so much more. Before I had this job I don't think I would have ever believed how much learning gets done in a week. The difference at St Mary's is that the students are so happy and engaged!

I have been doing many tours for perspective families. There is such an interest in our school because of the reputation we have for excellence in academics, incredible diversity, dedicated teachers, and happy students. It is an incredible honor to be a part of this. Recently, we were recognized by the Catholic Schools Foundation for our success. I am incredibly proud!

As I left school today 2 things happened. First, my car battery had died. I couldn't believe the support I got in my time of need. Actually, I can because everyone here is so kind. Thank you to the following people; Miss Meehan, Jane, our crossing guard, Mr. McDougall, Mrs. Efstathiou, Miss Veitz, and Mrs. Cronin. I really appreciate the time you took to assist me. Plus I learned a new skill today, How to Jump a Car! Secondly, because of my car situation I was able to witness the joy and excitement during the Talent Show auditions. It's going to be a great show on March 28th and I can't wait!

I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend with your beautiful children.

God Bless,

Mrs. Julie Marotta ~ Principal
