Principal's Updates - 11/15/19
Dear St. Mary of the Hills Families,
Thank all of you who were able to attend the Parent/Teacher Conferences in the big school. Partnerships between home and school are so beneficial to the academic success of children. Here at St Mary's we try very hard to communicate with you so that there are limited surprises.
We have some great events coming up. Tonight 3rd-5th graders are spending the night at the Museum of Science. Thank you to Mrs. Paris and all the chaperones! Ms. Veitz is hosting Movie Night tonight. What a great Date Night opportunity for many of you! Next Saturday night the PTO is hosting Paint Nite. Thank you to them and Mrs. O'Connor for this community building event.
Please note that there is no school the day before Thanksgiving. Some schools have a half day. We will be closed.
Cross your fingers and say your prayers Mrs. Hughes has sent our school video of "We are the World" to Ellen DeGeneres!!!!
I am grateful to 2 5th graders who organized a dress down day today to raise money for a faculty/staff breakfast. They chose this to thank the staff for all that they do every day. Massai and Devin raised over $200! Well done gentlemen.
Ms. Collins and I took 3 8th graders to St Patrick's School in Roxbury yesterday afternoon for recruitment purposes. I was very proud of Gavin, Adric, and Stive. They represented our school so well. If you know of other children looking for a small Catholic Middle school experience please recommend us to them. If they test and are admitted you will receive a discount on your tuition!
Enjoy this weekend with your beautiful children!
