Thank you all that attended Parent/Teacher conferences. Home and School are a very important partnership in your child's educational journey. I always like to remind parents and guardians that grades are important but not the most important component to measure a student's progress. It is just one snapshot in time. Children are also developing their sense of self and their place in a community of learners. Our mission is to provide an environment where your children are held to high standards and rigorous instruction and curriculum. We ask them to work at a high level because we believe in each and every child and know that they are capable of great things. When they struggle we are here to support them. When they fail at something it's an opportunity to reflect and improve. I am confident that when our scholars graduate and move on to high school they are prepared for the challenges that lie ahead. We strive to do our best each day in that mission but will apologize for falling short of your expectations if and when that happens.
PLEASE keep selling your Football Raffle tickets! We have surpassed $10,000. Remember every student who sells 10 or more tickets by the drawing date of November 28th can dress down for the entire month of December. Remember all money directly benefits the students at our incredible school. As I always say together we can do such great things!
I hope that you all have a safe and restful long weekend filled with lots of family time. I am grateful to each and every one of you for your unending support.
Mrs. Julie Marotta
