I am back for a very spiritual retreat where I was given the peace and quiet to pray and reflect on my 2 years as principal of St Mary of the Hills. There is no doubt that the task is daunting, the responsibilities are great, the hours are long, and I wear many hats but I know that this is where God wants me to be at this time in my life. Every decision I make, every conversation I have, any changes that I put into place are all because I truly believe in our Mission. If the students benefit from the work I do then I know I am doing the job as well as I can.
I am by nature a very humble person so please know that I depend on my great staff, my fellow principals, the Catholic School Office, and my cohorts in the Educational Leadership Program I am in at BC, and our lord Jesus Christ when faced with tough decisions.
I am grateful to all of you for your faith in me and I am looking forward to returning on Monday with a renewed sense of purpose and I clear vision for our amazing school.
I hope to see many of you at the Gala on May 19th. It will be such a fun night celebrating our 60th year serving in the community and thanking Father Wright for his dedication as he prepares for his retirement.
Thank you for your support of our Food Drive for Catholic Charities. They will be coming by to pick everything up on Monday. I am told that the 7th and 8th graders collected the most and will be celebrated with and ice cream party from Catholic Charities.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend with your incredible families.
