Principal's Update 2/9/18
We had a terrific week here at St. Mary's. I was invited to the 4th Grade dress up biography day. It was awesome. The students looked so much like their characters, they spoke so well and you could tell that they did a lot of research. I have been spending a great deal of time in the classrooms and I am always so inspired by what the students are learning and how much progress they are showing.
I am so proud of my students who participated in the Regional Spelling Bee. They did a wonderful job against a lot of equally talented competitors.
Believe it or not I am currently in the planning stages for next year. In order to make budgetary decisions for 2018-2019 I need to have your re-registration forms sent in before the February vacation week.
I attended a PTO meeting this morning. What a wonderful job they have done so far this year meeting their fundraising commitment to our school. The LUAU sounds like it will be a lot of fun. Thank you to the anonymous family who generously donated the food for the event. Next will be the Sweetheart Dance on March 18th. All students are welcome to bring their special someone like Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle, or Aunt to enjoy this very special afternoon. Save the date for our annual community building gala. It will be held on May 19th. This year we will be celebrating the school's 60th anniversary and Father Wright's retirement.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful children with us. As always, I hope that you all have a safe and restful weekend filled with lots of family time.
Mrs. Julie Marotta
