Principal's Update 4/28/17

Dear Families,

What an incredibly quick week. I have been very busy giving tours to perspective families. Keep talking up our amazing school! I would love to get more students in Grades 1 and 2.  We have been marketing through Salem Interactive Media.  If you tune in to WROL 950 AM, Radio Luz 1150 AM, and WEZE 590 AM you may be lucky enough to hear one of our spots.

This week our Middle School students had their Science Fair. I was very proud of all of the research and preparation that went into some incredibly high level projects. I want to thank the science teachers for their guidance and instruction and you the families for your support and encouragement. Well Done!

As the school year quickly approaches the end, please keep on top of all the end of year activities. My calendar is full between field trips, retreats, final exams, and graduation!

National Junior Honor Society tutoring will end this coming Monday, May 1st. I want to personally thank all of the students who volunteered to mentor the younger students. You have made such a difference and I am grateful!

The GALA is quickly approaching. I hope that you have marked your calendars for Saturday, May 13th.  The Committee has been working so hard to make this a fun evening for our community. It is the biggest fundraiser of the year and all proceeds go to our students for their education and enrichment.

The annual Walk for Haiti will be on Sunday, May 21st. The first 150 walkers will receive a free T-shirt with their donation. Help spread the word. It would be great to see many of of alums participate!

Lastly, 1st come 1st serve on the pianos.  If you want them they need to be taken away as soon as possible.

As always, please enjoy this coming weekend with your family! Family time is precious and should be treasured.
