MILTON- The St. Mary of the Hills School and Parish gathered together on Sunday, July 10th, to welcome Mrs. Julie Marotta as the incoming principal of St. Mary's. Mrs. Marotta spoke after the 10:15 Mass to introduce herself to the community and speak of the importance of a solid Catholic Education. Families attended a "meet and greet" with Mrs. Marotta and the St. Mary's faculty in the lower church, graciously hosted by the SMH PTO. Julie Marotta has been a part of the St. Mary's community for 15 years, as her three sons enrolled in the school in 2001. Since then Julie Marotta has served as a PTO member, Academic Advisor, and most recently 5th and 6th Grade Mathematics teacher.
Julie plans to incorporate a STREAM curriculum in the coming year, which focuses on science, technology, religion, engineering, art, and math, while contining to strengthen the reading and writing programs St. Mary's offers.
Mrs. Marotta also launched a new "Refer a Friend" promotion for the month of July, where current families have the potential to receive a $300 tuition discount, for referring a new family who enrolls in St. Mary of the Hills School.
