Dear Parents and Guardians, It's hard to believe that we are already halfway through the month of March. This is a busy time of year at St. Mary of the Hills with enrollment and re-enrollment. If you haven't already re-enrolled your child, we ask that you please take care of this as soon as possible. We do have a wait list for several grades, and there are many new parents interested in enrolling their child/children in our school.
Dear Parents and Guardians, On Friday, students, faculty, and staff gathered together and attended Mass which was hosted by the third-grade class. They showed their talents with their reading and singing. Thank you to Miss O' Leary for preparing her students so well.
Dear Parents and Guardians, During this holy Lenten season, we take time to reflect on our Lenten devotions and the mercy of God. This is a wonderful time to spend thanking Jesus for his sacrifice and mercy. Many of the students have asked about the purpose of Lent. It's more than a tradition or ritual. Lent is a time of spiritual renewal and purification that ultimately leads us to Jesus. It is a time of prayer and reaching out to others and reflecting on what is truly important in our lives.
Dear St. Mary of the Hills Family, Today is the start of Winter Break. We've been blessed with a mild winter so far, hopefully, it will continue to be mild. Whether you are staying home or going out of town on vacation, we hope you enjoy time together with your family.

Dear St. Mary of the Hills Family, Catholic Schools Week has been celebrated throughout our nation each year since 1974 during the last week of January. Catholic education is more than just providing excellence in academics. Catholic schools educate the whole child, academically, spiritually, physically, and emotionally. We want to thank all of our parents and guardians for making the sacrifice to send your child(ren) to St. Mary of the Hills School and entrusting us with our mission of educating children.
Dear St. Mary of the Hills Family, Next week is Catholic Schools Week! Please be sure to read the calendar with all of the important events planned for the week. Each day we will focus on a different group in our community. On Thursday, February 2nd, a parent and volunteer appreciation coffee will be hosted by the principal in the main hall at 9:00 a.m., to thank all of our wonderful parents and volunteers for all of their support. On Friday, February 3rd, in honor of Parish Appreciation Day, we invite everyone to a school Mass at 10:00 a.m. hosted by the Student Council.
Dear St. Mary of the Hills Family, Winter NWEA MAP testing began this week and will continue into next week. NWEA MAP testing is an important tool that we use to direct and drive our instruction. The MAP test scores give teachers a way to focus and plan for how they use their time for addressing a student's individual needs. In addition, this assessment tool shows which academic skills and concepts your child has learned and what he/she is ready to learn.
Dear St. Mary of the Hills Family, It’s hard to believe that we are halfway through the school year. This will be a very busy month for all of our teachers and students. NWEA testing begins on January 17th, and the middle school will begin midterms on January 24th. Please make every effort to have your child/children attend school during testing.

Dear Parents and Guardians: It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Gratitude and thankfulness are major themes discussed throughout the month of November in the classrooms. Our teachers have been helping our students recognize all of the blessings that God has bestowed upon us as a school community. Just a reminder that there will be no school on Wednesday, November 23rd.
Dear Parents and Guardians: We wish a Happy Veterans Day to our military both past and present. We thank them for their sacrifice, bravery, and service to our country. May God watch over and bless each one of them and their families.
