Dear St. Mary of the Hills Family,

It has been a busy and joyful week here at St. Mary of the Hills. On Monday, we gathered together as a school community and the fourth purple candle was lit to mark the final week of prayer as we waited expectantly for the birth of Jesus. We talked about how Love is the greatest of all the virtues on the Advent Wreath and it encompasses Jesus' entire reason for being on Earth.

On Tuesday, Kindergarten-8th grade parents and guardians were invited to St. Mary of the Hills church to listen to a beautiful Christmas concert filled with traditional songs that helped everyone get into the Christmas spirit. On Thursday, the ECC students presented the Christmas pageant which has always been a treasured tradition at St. Mary of the Hills School, and it was absolutely beautiful. Finally, the preschool and early learners presented a Christmas concert for their families today to culminate our week of celebration.

During this Christmas season, we remember and rejoice at Christ's birth. His coming represents a new beginning for all of us - a time for renewed hope, peace, and love. It is important to take a moment to reflect and give thanks for the many blessings bestowed upon us, and also to pray for those who might be facing challenges during this time. This Christmas, I pray that everyone in our St. Mary of the Hills community has the strength to face the challenges in their lives with a heart filled with hope, peace, and love.

On behalf of our entire St. Mary of the Hills faculty and staff, I would like to wish each of you a Blessed Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Suzanne Banach
Principal
