Grade 1 Thanks

Dear Parents and Guardians:

It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Gratitude and thankfulness are major themes discussed throughout the month of November in the classrooms. Our teachers have been helping our students recognize all of the blessings that God has bestowed upon us as a school community. Just a reminder that there will be no school on Wednesday, November 23rd.

Parent Teacher Conferences

This past week parents and guardians had the opportunity to meet with teachers to discuss their child's successes and needs. If you have not already reached out to your child's teacher for a conference, please consider doing so. It's extremely important to keep communication open between the school and home.

Coffee Cakes Arrive on Tuesday!

The coffee cake orders arrive this Tuesday just in time for Thanksgiving Break. Please remember to pick them up, as we will not be in school on Wednesday. There will be another opportunity to order coffee cakes for Christmas.

St. Mary of the Hills Blood Drive

The middle school Pints for Halfpints organization, along with Boston Children's Hospital, will be hosting a Blood Drive on December 9th from 9 am to 3 pm at our school. This awesome group of middle school students is committed to raising awareness of the importance of donating blood. Please consider participating in this very important event.

Lunch Volunteers

Our sincere gratitude to all parents and family volunteers who have donated their time to help serve our children. Without your support, the lunch program would not be possible. If anyone is interested in donating their time, please reach out to Mrs. Paris.

Holiday Raffle

Your child was given an envelope on Friday containing a booklet of raffle tickets for our school's Holiday Raffle. Our goal is to raise $30,000 to support the Excellence Fund and the PTO's cultural and enrichment programs for students from Early Learners through 8th grade. The grand prize winner will receive $2,500 and the 2nd Prize winner will receive an Apple iPad. The winners will be drawn at the Christmas Concert on December 20th.

It is our hope that over the next few weeks your child will be able to sell these tickets to neighbors and family. Together, I know that we can reach this goal in support of our students! The top seller will receive a $100 Amazon gift card and the top-selling classes in the ECC and the Elementary School will have a special classroom celebration!

I wish you and your families a beautiful fall weekend. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, you can reach me by phone, email, or come in to see me at school.

Mrs. Suzanne Banach
