Hello Families:

Exciting things are happening at St. Mary of the Hills School! The CYO basketball league is underway and the boys have been practicing hard with Coach A. Band and piano lessons have begun and our cheerleading team will begin next week. We will be offering many more activities soon.

Again, I want to express my appreciation to all who have volunteered to help with our lunch program. This program couldn't run smoothly without your help. Please watch out for an email from our PTO president, Rudy Denis, with dates and times for our upcoming PTO meetings. Your ideas and energy are needed to make our PTO a success.

ECC Playground

It was an exciting week for the ECC children. On Tuesday, they gathered outside for Father Bennett's blessing of our new playground. The children have been excited and eager to begin playing on it. We have many more fun and exciting things planned for the ECC outdoor play area.

Trunk or Treat

Thank you to all families who have generously sent in candy and donated their trunks for the Trunk or Treat event this Sunday, October 30th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The middle school students have lots of fun games for the children to play. They are selling ten tickets for $5.00. Each game will cost one ticket to play. Mrs. McNally will be at school selling our school spirit wear.

Halloween Parade

The Halloween Parade will take place on Monday, October 31st at 9:30 a.m. All ECC students through second grade will participate. Students will be showcasing their costumes outside in the back of the main building. It may be a chilly morning, so coffee will be available for parents and guardians in the school cafeteria.

Cheerleading

Ms. Breslin and Ms. Gabriel will be teaching the 4th -8th grade Cheerleading class on Wednesdays. The first class begins on November 2nd. Please refer to the flyer that was emailed home this week. The cheer team will be showcasing their talent at our school pep rallies on CYO basketball game days. If your child is interested in joining the cheer team, please fill out the form with the payment and send it to the school office.

I wish you and your families a wonderful fall weekend. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, you can reach me by phone, email, or come in to see me at school.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Suzanne Banach
Principal
