Dear Parents/Guardians:

Good afternoon to all. As I sit here typing I am praising God for such a beautiful day. The students are enjoying having their snacks, lunches, and recess on our property. We are truly blessed to have such a safe space to let the children socialize and make memories.

Next Wednesday May 18th is Haitian Flag Day. In recognition of that holiday and to respect and honor many of our families, a 5th grader, Dreamaelle, asked me if everyone could dress in Red, White, and Blue that day. There will be no cost to do so. Another reason why I love my students. They are always thinking of ways to celebrate and embrace each others differences in addition to their similarities.

The next few weeks may require a seat belt as there is so much happening and so much to keep track of as we move quickly towards the end. We will do our best to communicate to all of you so that you don't miss a thing.

I remember raising my 3 sons when Spring hit and the family calendar started to fill up with baseball, soccer, boy scouts, school events, graduations, field trips, etc. As hectic as those days were I wish I could do it all over again. Relish this time in your lives. It goes by way too fast and I promise you won't regret it. Also, you will stay sane!

I hope that you are able to enjoy this great weather and do something fun with your amazing children this weekend!

God Bless you.
