News from the Hill - 5/6/22

Dear Parents/Guardians:

I hope and pray that you are all doing well. I am so happy that we have been able to experience more normalcy at St Mary of the Hills. This week we had a Taco Truck experience for the Middle School students, a field trip to the Boston Symphony with Grades 4 and 5, and a field trip to the Franklin Park Zoo for Kindergarten through Grade 2.

After 2 years of not being able to provide these opportunities we feel incredibly blessed to all of those in the health care and scientific communities for working so hard on our behalf. We are still seeing a few cases weekly of COVID-19 and will continue to monitor the situation and notify you of any cases in your child's classroom.

I want to shout out a great big thank you to the room parents in Grade 5 for the awesome breakfast, the room parents in Grade 2 for the delicious lunch, and the Susi family for the generous donation of cookies from Montilios Bakery. Also, I need all of you parents to know how special the teachers felt by all the love you showed them this past week.

I hope that you were able to see the Crowning of our Blessed Mother, Mary. It is an annual tradition and I am so proud of the ECC staff and the Student Council for contributing their time and talents to prepare the students so well. It was such a beautiful morning!

On behalf of the entire staff of St Mary of the Hills I want to wish a very Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers, step mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and guardians who partner with us each and every day. You are appreciated more than you will ever know!

Have a wonderful weekend with your incredible children!

God Bless you.

Mrs. Julie Marotta
