1600s

Dear Parents/Guardians:

There is so much to be grateful for here at St Mary of the Hills. Students are preparing for the Christmas Season by learning about Advent, the Birth of Jesus Christ, and how blessed we all are to have a Catholic School in which to celebrate our Faith!

Speaking of grateful I want to personally thank those of you who generously contributed to our Day of Giving. The donations will be used to help our student's families with tuition assistance and enrich our Science curriculum with opportunities for exploration and discovery through field trips, tools, and hands-on experimentation. We have a classroom space were these opportunities can take place but would love to offer robotics, dissection classes, and more ways to bring Science to life for our students. This critical thinking in collaboration with their peers can create such an opportunity for discovery and problem solving. We were already able to bring Nature's Classroom to campus for our 6th graders. This allowed them to use our outdoor space to learn about nature, habitats, and so much more.

As the month progresses there will be so many great moments. We will be helping those less fortunate, preparing for Christmas through reconciliation (Grades 3-8), Nativity reenactment, Christmas concert, and prayer.

Let Us Be Light

Jesus,

Let Advent begin; help us to be beacons of hope,

patience, good deeds, love, peace, and justice...

Be our guide in this project.

Grant us what we need to keep our lights shining,

to shed light on the road that leads others to you.

Amen

God Bless you.
