Behind the Mask

Dear Parents/Guardians:

As the daughter of a wonderful woman who lost her battle with Breast Cancer 3 1/2 years ago, the fundraiser today made me so happy. I want to thank Channah Goodman of Grade 6 for initiating this event. I just walked across the back lot and the sea of Pink was so beautiful. It made me think how much my Mom would have loved this. Hopefully the money raised today will make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.

St Therese of Lisieux lived her life by not of doing great things, but of small things with great love. If more people embraced this trait what a much better world we would have. I would like to think that we, at St Mary's, are inspiring our students to think beyond themselves to make a difference in this world no matter how small. Well done, Channah, and everyone who contributed!

Please mark your calendars for the Trunk or Treat event on Sunday, October 24th from 3-5pm. It should be lots of fun!

I hope that you are able to enjoy this beautiful weekend with your wonderful families.

God Bless you.

Mrs. Julie Marotta
