Principal's Update - 3/29/19

Dear Families, All sorts of wonderful learning and innovative thinking happening at school this week. I was lucky enough to be invited to the "2nd Grade OR" to watch our doctors perform Contraction Surgery. I was so proud of their skills and knowledge. Middle School students were busy doing scientific labs, working on their Cultural Night projects, solving complex math problems, and learning about the world. Our elementary students are continuing to make tremendous growth in their math and language arts skills through the creative teaching practices and the funding we have received through generous grants and donations. Today I had the honor and privilege of attending the Boston Symphony Orc

Dear Families, We have had such a wonderful week here our great school. I have been touring, testing, and accepting many new students at all grade levels. Please continue to help me spread the word. Like and share our media posts! This is such an easy way to get the word out. Also, please write a review. I'd really appreciate it! I have some really exciting news. The Lynch Foundation Early Childhood Program has selected our school to provide funding for grants to further improve our programming. This will further set us apart from other Early Childhood programs and help us to retain students for the entire St Mary of the Hills School experience. More information will be coming soon. Dear Families, First of all thank you for your cooperation with pick up and drop off. This procedure will be in effect until further notice. I pray that the warm weather will melt the snow banks so that we can get back to our normal routine. I will keep this email short as I want to share Pope Francis' message with all of you. Wednesday we celebrated Ash Wednesday with a prayer service and the distribution of ashes. It was a wonderful way to begin our Lenten journey. The following are the words of Pope Francis that I shared with the students. There has been a lot of interest in our amazing school. In order to keep up the momentum I ask that you continue to spread the word! Please take some t

Principal's Update - 3/1/19

Dear Families, This was a very busy week here at our great school. Students got right back into their routines after February vacation. Many of them worked on their academics in their free time. I challenged the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders to work on Language Arts through a program that we were trialing. The student in each grade who did the most would be recognized by me. On Thursday Riley Genega, Tiana Egwim, and Annabelle Frederique and I enjoyed lunch together and talked about the software they used and learned a lot more about each other. Congratulations to our Girls and Boys CYO basketball teams for a great season. Well done and great coaching Mr. A and Mr. Tyrrell! I do need to talk to
