We received an awesome "Thank you note" from the Shattuck Shelter this week thanking us for the cards that the students made, and for the candy and socks that we donated. It is the season for giving!!! We've been filling lots of buckets!!!
St. Mary of the Hills students in grades 1-3 gathered for a yearly special event. They started the afternoon with an Advent service and then continued a tradition that St. Francis of Assisi asked us to do. They remembered our woodland friends by stringing food for the animals behind our school. They were so happy to give a Christmas Party for the Animals.
Dear Families, We had such a busy week here at St Mary of the Hills School. Classes have been busy this advent season preparing to brighten the lives of those less fortunate by making cards, donating food, feeding the animals, and treating each other with respect. I was extremely proud of all of our talented students and staff who performed for you at the Christmas Concert. I certainly hope that spending that evening with us put you into the holiday spirit! This presentation was created for our theme: Service. It includes excerpts from when Mrs. Vasta's niece, Sophia Gustafson, came to our school on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, to speak to the student body about her experiences serving others. It also includes our students expressing what service means to them and how they can provide service to others. It's a little over 10 1/2 minutes long. We hope that you enjoy it!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoudxgtJetA
