Principal's Update - 6/18/18

Dear Families, As I type this letter I am sitting in my office in a quiet school building. It does not seem natural. Schools are meant to be filled with the joy and excitement that children bring. Last week we had to say goodbye to some of our staff members. Fr. Wright said his last school Mass on Friday, June 15th. It was an emotional day for all of us but we wish him a restful and well deserved retirement. He gave so much of himself to our school community over the past 16 years and we are forever grateful. Mrs. Field and Mrs. Duffy retired after many dedicated years serving the students of St Mary of the Hills. These fine educators will be missed and we wish them all the best as they sett

Principal's Update - 6/8/18

Dear Families, This week was full of exciting happenings! Our Spring Concert on Tuesday afternoon was beautiful! Thank you to our Music teacher, Ms. Cronan, and to Mr. Voelker and Ms. Kim of the Effmann Music Co. for preparing our singers and musicians so well! Our Early Childhood students all had their end-of-year celebrations ~ such happy little smiling faces of our little ones, and teary eyed parents in the audience! Class Night was a memorable one for our 8th grade graduates. Many thanks to all involved in making their night so special. Principal's Update - 6/1/18

Dear Families, Somehow we have arrived at June 1st! This year has really flown by. Your children have grown and developed academically and socially and it has been very rewarding to witness. This week I was able to attend the 4th Grade State's Fair. The students really knew their states and shared such interesting facts. I was so impressed. Our Odyssey of the Mind teams spent part of last week in Iowa competing in World Finals. The 4/5th grade team placed 15 out of 70! The 8th grade team placed 36 out of 70 and the 7th grade 40 out of 75. The students and parents worked so hard to make this happen. I am so proud of all of them.
