Principal's Update - 10/27/17

Dear Families, I am a very proud principal! I was so fortunate to celebrate Mass with Bishop Reed and five of our Peter Lynch Scholars. We at St Mary's are very blessed to have the financial support of Peter Lynch and the Catholic Schools Foundation. Without their support the dream of a Catholic education might not be reached for some students. The Color Fun Run on Saturday was a tremendous success. Everyone had such a great time being together as a community. Thank you to the PTO and the many volunteers for making this such a success. I overheard some students talking and they said "I'm never going to leave this school!" That says it all. On Tuesday afternoon Officer Maria Poles talked to

Dear Families, Who wants to see me with Blue Hair? If the PTO reaches their fundraising goal on Saturday it will happen on Monday! If you haven't already registered for Saturday's Color Fun Run you can still participate. Registration is at 2:30 at the school. It is going to be a great day weather wise and a fun community building event. Hope to see you there! Dear Families, We ended our week today with a beautiful liturgy led by our 7th Graders. I was so proud of all of them and I thank Ms. Veitz, Mr. Faherty, and Mrs. Vasta for preparing them so well. I hope that most of you have registered for the Color Fun Run! I know that I am really looking forward to it! Don't forget the first class that reaches 100% registration will get a prize from me! This week students were studying rocks and minerals, tackling complicated math problems, converting measurements, hypothesizing, writing First Friday letters, writing scary stories, talking about respect, and growing in their faith through Religion classes. Students in Grades 5-8 started Drama after schoo

Principal's Update - 9/29/17

Dear Families, We had a very productive but HOT week here at St Mary of the Hills! Thank you to the dedicated teachers who taught in those hot classrooms without complaining. Educating your children is always our top priority. Today was a dress down day to benefit Dominica. Mrs. Etienne and other families affected by the devastation of that beautiful island expressed gratitude to the students for initiating this fundraiser. Over $500 was collected. Mrs. Etienne said to say Thank You! We will be doing another one on October 20th for the people of Puerto Rico. This past Sunday I had the best car wash I ever received by our 8th graders. They had many satisfied customers and collected quite a bi
